MontGras

Color: Deep ruby, shading to purple. Bouquet: Black currant, cherries, leather and capsicum; hints of vanilla and fresh-roasted coffee. Taste: Flavorful, full bodied, food-friendly with a good balance between acidity and sweetness of alcohol, as well as fruit and oak; well-structured and complex, concluding in a long finish.

Wine Advocate

The 2007 Quatro is a blend of 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Malbec, 25% Carmenere, and 15% Syrah. Purple-colored, it has a complex bouquet of cedar, spice box, black currant, blackberry, and a hint of blueberry in the background. This is followed by a layered wine with good depth and concentration with enough structure to evolve for 1-2 years. Drink this excellent value from 2009 to 2015. 89+

Score: 89. —Jay Miller, October 2008.

Wine Enthusiast

A young wine that is fairly granular and warm on first impression. The nose yields tar, leaves and leather, while the palate is candied and herbal, with base fruit flavors of plums and berries. Seems softer and a little less defined and structured than previous vintages. So drink now. Quatro is a mix of Cabernet, Malbec, Carmenère and Syrah.

Score: 87. —Michael Schachner, November 15, 2008.
